Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join our imaging team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in breast imaging and be proficient in performing screening and diagnostic mammography, including 3D tomosynthesis. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment alongside experienced radiologists and imaging professionals while providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
· Conduct 3D breast tomosynthesis imaging procedures.
· Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout imaging procedures.
· Accurately position patients and operate mammography equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
· Follow established imaging protocols and radiation safety standards.
· Maintain complete and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
· Work collaboratively with radiologists, lead technologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
· Float between the main hospital and ambulatory center as needed.
· Maintain imaging equipment and report any operational concerns.
Required Qualifications
· Minimum 2 years of recent Mammography Technologist experience.
· Current ARRT (M) Certified Mammography Technologist certification.
· Current BLS Certification (AHA).
· Active state license (where required) at the time of submission.
· Strong experience in breast imaging, including:
o Screening Mammography
o Diagnostic Mammography
o 3D Breast Tomosynthesis
· Excellent communication and patient care skills.
Preferred Skills
· Experience working in an acute care hospital setting.
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced imaging department.
· Strong attention to detail and image quality.
· Team-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Patient Volume
· Approximately 50–75 mammography studies per day across three imaging rooms.
Schedule & Work Environment
· 8-hour shifts with a 1-hour lunch break.
· Guaranteed 34.5 hours per week.
· No routine weekend requirement at this time (may change based on department needs).
· No holiday requirement.
· No on-call or standby responsibilities.
