About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join a refined, chef-driven steak and seafood concept in the Denver Tech Center. This is a hands-on culinary leadership role in a high-expectation, upscale dining environment where consistency, execution, and attention to detail are critical to the guest experience.
The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to lead daily kitchen operations, uphold elevated culinary standards, and ensure smooth, efficient service in a high-volume, quality-focused setting.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise kitchen team members during service
- Ensure consistent execution of all menu items to exact specifications
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and timing
- Assist with ordering, inventory control, and product management
- Support food and labor cost control initiatives
- Train, coach, and develop line cooks and prep staff
- Enforce sanitation, safety, and kitchen organization standards (ServSafe compliance)
- Assist with menu execution, specials, and seasonal updates
- Partner with leadership to maintain a positive, high-performance kitchen culture
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of progressive kitchen leadership experience (Sous Chef or strong Senior Line Cook ready to step up)
- Strong background in steakhouse, seafood, or upscale scratch kitchen environments
- Proven ability to run a smooth, high-volume service
- Solid understanding of food cost, inventory, and BOH operations
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach and hold standards
- Hands-on, reliable, and execution-focused culinary professional
- Experience working with premium proteins and high-quality ingredients preferred
- Culinary degree or formal training is a plus, not required
