Job Description
Jefferson, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Truck Equipment Installation Technician. This position is ideal for individuals motivated to succeed and eager to learn the trade. We provide necessary on-the-job training to equip our employees with the skills needed to be successful.
Essential Duties:
• Mechanical Installation and Repair Services for all Truck Equipment, including Cranes, Liftgates, and various truck bodies such as Dump Body, Service Body, Utility Body, Insulated Body, Flatbeds, and Custom Builds.
• Installation of Van Shelving, Ladder Racks for Cargo Vans and Pickups, Rollup Door Assembly, and Inverters.
Requirements/Skills: Basics:
• High School Diploma (or Equivalent), or any Electrical, Welding, or comparable trade certification.
• Current and Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to pass a physical examination and drug screen.
• Basic Tool Set required (Screw Drivers, Ratchets, and Wrenches).
Experience:
• Strong Mechanical Abilities to successfully install, troubleshoot, and repair truck equipment.
• Basic understanding of Hydraulics, Mechanical Systems, and Electrical Systems.
• Experience using air tools, with welding and fabrication (Mig and Stick), safely operating a forklift, and with overhead shop cranes.
Other Requirements:
• Willingness to work overtime. • Ability to effectively communicate, work in a fast-paced environment, pay attention to detail, and retain knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures.
Physical Requirements:
• Must meet physical requirements consistent with the demands of the job, including the handling and maneuvering of heavy equipment.
