Job Details

• Position: Scrub Tech
• Location: Bangor
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Shift: Day Shift
• Schedule: 3x12
• Experience Required: 2 Years
• Weekly Pay: $1900 to $2070

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by ensuring all instruments, supplies, and equipment are available and sterile
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and a sterile field throughout operations
• Pass instruments, supplies, and equipment to surgeons as needed
• Anticipate surgical team needs during procedures
• Perform surgical counts according to facility protocols
• Prepare and handle surgical specimens appropriately
• Clean, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and equipment
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards
• Collaborate with surgeons, registered nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals
• Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Scrub Tech or Surgical Technologist experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile processing techniques
• Experience in a variety of surgical specialties preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and surgical support
