As an Interventional Radiology Tech in a Level 1 trauma environment, you’ll gain invaluable exposure to diverse, complex cases in both neuro and body IR. Work alongside accomplished neurosurgeons and interventionalists, honing your skills in a nationally recognized teaching hospital—a perfect setting for expanding your professional network and résumé. Schedule/Hours:
- Flexible options: 3x12-hour, 4x10-hour, or 5x8-hour shifts (08:00–18:30 or 08:00–16:30)
- Call required: 3–4 days/month; weekend call every 5th–6th weekend (Fri 16:30–Mon 08:00)
- 75% holiday participation expectation
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist/scrub in a wide variety of IR body and neuro procedures
- Operate and troubleshoot state-of-the-art imaging equipment
- Circulate, manage supplies, and ensure optimal procedural workflow
- Collaborate with RNs, tech extenders, neurosurgeons, and interventional radiologists
- Support a learning environment with new grads and participate in mentorship as needed
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in Interventional Radiology (body/neuro) at a Level 1 trauma center
- ARRT-R or RCIS, with BLS required
- Strong procedural scrubbing/circulating skills
- Comfortable working in academic settings and preceptorship situations
