Job Description
Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a skilled Physical Therapist, supporting students from preK through 12th grade. With a manageable average caseload of 40 students across 8 school sites, you’ll play a vital role in helping children and adolescents strengthen their physical capabilities and maximize their educational experience. This position runs from August 21st, 2025, through June 14th, 2026, with a steady schedule of 32.5 hours each week.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid and current state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt interventions to a range of student needs and ages, from early learners to high school seniors
- Organizational skills to manage schedules across multiple school sites
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students, addressing their IEP goals and enhancing functional mobility
- Administer assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other therapists to support holistic student development
- Document all services and student progress in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Provide guidance to school staff on safe and effective mobility and positioning within the classroom setting
- Travel among 8 school sites within the district as needed
