Job Description
The Cleanroom Assembler performs precise medical device assembly and manufacturing operations in a controlled cleanroom environment. This role focuses on working with very small, delicate components to support stent manufacturing, including coating, crimping, sealing, packaging, and detailed visual inspection under a microscope. The position requires strong fine motor skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow strict procedures and cleanroom protocols to ensure high-quality, compliant products.
Responsibilities
- Perform manufacturing operations such as stent coating, crimping, sealing, packaging, and other assembly activities using small and delicate components.
- Handle small parts with precision and fine motor skills to meet tight tolerances and quality standards.
- Conduct visual inspections under a microscope to verify product quality and conformance to specifications.
- Follow detailed written work orders, procedures, and verbal instructions to complete assembly and production tasks accurately.
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of the work area and equipment in accordance with cleanroom and safety protocols.
- Carry out basic preventive maintenance and care of tools and equipment used in assembly and inspection.
- Accurately perform repetitive precision tasks while maintaining focus and consistency throughout the shift.
- Use basic computer systems for data entry, documentation, and recordkeeping related to production and quality activities.
- Adhere to all cleanroom gowning and contamination control procedures, including proper use of lab coats, shoe covers, gloves, and other required attire.
- Collaborate with a small production team to meet daily output goals and support a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
Essential Skills
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for working with very small components and fine tolerances.
- Ability to perform precise, repetitive tasks while maintaining high levels of accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to read and follow detailed work orders, written procedures, and verbal instructions.
- Microscope experience for performing visual inspection of small parts and assemblies.
- Experience with assembly, small part assembly, or production work in a manufacturing environment.
- Comfort working in a cleanroom environment and following strict protocols and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Basic computer skills for data entry, documentation, and recordkeeping.
- Ability to use basic hand tools and perform simple mechanical tasks as needed.
- Ability to perform general production and inspection activities in a structured environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in cleanroom assembly or medical device manufacturing is beneficial.
- Experience in assembly line work, packaging, or general production is an advantage.
- Familiarity with coating, crimping, and sealing processes is helpful.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small team and communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors.
- Reliability in attendance and punctuality, with flexibility to support occasional Saturday work when needed.

Work Environment
You will work on a small team of approximately 6–7 employees in a climate-controlled, 12x30-foot cleanroom dedicated to medical device assembly. About 90% of daily operations take place inside the cleanroom, where you will follow established cleanroom protocols, including wearing gowning such as lab coat, shoe covers, gloves, and other required protective attire. The facility is clean, organized, and designed to support fine, detailed work with small components and microscope-based inspection. The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday with a flexible start time between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., working eight hours from your start time, and includes two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch. There is some availability for occasional Saturday work, which is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
