Job Description
The role of the Mechanical Assembler is to build production machines and fixtures from the ground up in our R&D center. This pre-production center ensures that everything made at this facility is transferred to the larger production facility. Assemblers will have a direct team lead to guide them through the assembly steps, ensuring that each unit is built with precision and care.
Responsibilities
- Build production machines and fixtures from scratch.
- Assemble components that are 8-10 feet long and 4-5 feet tall, comprising up to 75 parts.
- Use hand and power tools to complete assemblies.
- Assist in tightening bolts and placing parts correctly.
- Operate forklifts to move components as needed.
- Work under the guidance of a team lead to ensure accurate assembly.
- Strong mechanical aptitude from manufacturing or personal experience.
- Detail-oriented approach to assembly tasks.
- Basic math skills to assist in assembly processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Experience with forklifts is preferred, though not required.
- Must possess steel or composite-toed shoes for safety.
Work in a temperature-controlled environment where prototypes are crafted that won't hit production for at least a year. Enjoy minimal overtime and collaborate with a team that values tenure and expertise.
Work Environment
The work environment is a bright, organized prototype center that is temperature controlled. It operates on the first shift from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with rare overtime extending to 5 PM. Employees are required to wear steel toes, safety glasses, and appropriate PPE, enjoying a quiet and efficient setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
