Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Post-Acute / Rehabilitation Hospital – Oklahoma City, OK

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in a post-acute and rehabilitation hospital setting. In this role, you will work closely with nurses and clinical staff to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals recovering from illness, injury, or surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
  • Monitor and document vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration)
  • Support patient mobility, including transferring, repositioning, and ambulation
  • Observe patients and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies
  • Provide emotional support and ensure a positive patient experience
  • Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized patient environment
  • Support nurses and therapists during treatments, procedures, and rehab activities
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong patient care and bedside manner
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology and healthcare procedures
  • Ability to assist patients safely with mobility and ADLs
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Customer service mindset with a patient-focused approach
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow care plans
Qualifications
  • Active CNA certification in the state of Oklahoma (required)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Previous experience in a hospital, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facility (preferred, but not required)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Work Environment
  • Post-acute / rehabilitation hospital setting
  • Working closely with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Fast-paced environment focused on recovery and patient progress
  • Hands-on patient care with physical activity required (lifting, bending, standing)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $22.00/hr.
