Route Driver

Pay Rate: $22.75 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 nights per week

• Start time: 8:00 PM

• Shift ends when route is completed (typically 1012 hour shifts)

• Must be available to work weekends and holidays

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Route Driver to deliver fresh food products to convenience stores throughout the Austin metro area. This is a hands-on role that combines driving, customer service, warehouse work, and physical labor. Drivers are home daily and operate dedicated local routes while ensuring products are delivered accurately and on time.

DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY

• Home daily with local routes

• Consistent work with approximately 20 dedicated routes nightly

• Overtime opportunities available

• Safely operate a 2428-foot box truck on designated delivery routes

• Load and unload products, verify order counts, and complete required paperwork

• Deliver products accurately and on schedule to customer locations

• Utilize GPS and route planning tools to efficiently navigate delivery routes

• Operate an electronic tablet to record deliveries and complete daily documentation

• Collect trays and materials from customer locations during deliveries

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

• Maintain truck cleanliness and report maintenance concerns

• Provide professional and courteous customer service at all delivery locations

• Follow all DOT regulations, company safety procedures, and food handling standards

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Minimum 1 year of verifiable box truck or semi-truck driving experience required

• 3+ years of box truck or semi-truck experience preferred

• Step van experience alone does not qualify

• Ability to use tablets and electronic delivery systems

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to frequently lift up to 75 pounds

• Ability to push and pull up to 300 pounds using a four-wheel dolly

• Must be comfortable with extensive loading and unloading of products

• Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling

• Ability to work in warehouse temperatures ranging from 38F to 70F and in varying outdoor weather conditions

• Must pass a background check

• Must pass a DOT physical

• Must pass a drug screening

• Must pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) review
