Job Description

This role focuses on operating standup/man-up forklifts and performing material handling, kitting, and inventory verification in a warehouse environment. You will split your time between driving material handling equipment and completing hands-on tasks such as counting inventory, reviewing pick lists, labeling parts, and assembling kits. Depending on business needs, you may be assigned to a specific function or rotate between kitting and verification activities while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate standup/man-up forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently in a warehouse setting.
• Navigate warehouse aisles and storage locations using man-up/standup forklifts, often working at height while secured in a harness to pick parts.
• Perform material handling tasks, including moving, staging, and organizing inventory and parts throughout the warehouse.
• Review printed pick lists and verify that inventory on hand matches required parts, quantities, and locations.
• Label inventory accurately and ensure all tags and labels are correctly applied and aligned with the pick lists and inventory system.
• Count inventory by hand on the warehouse floor and verify that physical counts match system records and labels.
• Use a computer for basic navigation and data entry to update inventory records and track parts movement.
• Work with kitting assignments by picking parts from the floor and assembling them into complete kits according to instructions.
• In the kitting-focused role, spend approximately 90% of the time operating a standup/man-up forklift and about 10% walking the floor to pick and place parts into kits.

This is a Contract position based out of La Place, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
