Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid California Special Education Teacher License
  • Current PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) Credential
  • Experience implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and adapting lesson plans for diverse learners
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with specialized software for academic instruction and recordkeeping is a plus

Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering direct academic, career, and vocational instruction to students with special needs within one classroom
  • Designing and facilitating engaging curriculum and lessons aligned to state content and performance standards
  • Providing individualized and group instruction based on student needs, utilizing various instructional techniques
  • Assessing student progress and maintaining accurate records to monitor achievement of IEP goals
  • Scheduling students for targeted one-on-one or small group sessions to ensure effective support
  • Collaborating with fellow educators, specialists, and families to support students’ educational progress
