This role offers a long-term opportunity for an experienced or developing electrician to support a large commercial/industrial project in Wabash, IN. You will install and maintain electrical systems with a strong focus on running rigid conduit, piping, and wiring, often working at heights using ladders and scissor lifts. The position provides consistent weekly hours and the potential to continue on additional projects based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Install, run, and secure rigid and EMT conduit for commercial and industrial electrical systems.
- Pull, route, and terminate electrical wiring and cabling according to project specifications and electrical codes.
- Install, mount, and wire light fixtures and related electrical components.
- Use ladders, scissor lifts, and other access equipment to perform electrical work safely at heights.
- Measure, cut, and bend conduit and piping using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure accurate fit and alignment.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete daily electrical tasks.
- Assist with general electrical construction duties, including layout, preparation, and clean-up of work areas.
- Collaborate with other electricians and trades on-site to coordinate work and meet project timelines.
- Follow all safety procedures and site rules, including proper use of personal protective equipment and fall protection when working at heights.
- Inspect work for quality and compliance with project requirements and applicable codes.
- Support ongoing project needs by taking on additional tasks as assigned to help keep the project on schedule.
- Industrial electrician background with experience in commercial or industrial electrical environments.
- Hands-on experience working with rigid conduit and EMT conduit.
- Proficiency in bending conduit and pipe using appropriate tools and methods.
- Experience running conduit and installing electrical wiring and cabling.
- Ability to install and wire light fixtures and related electrical components.
- Comfort working at heights, including from ladders and scissor lifts.
- Skilled in the safe use of hand tools and power tools for electrical work.
- Experience with industrial electrical installation, including conduit, cable, and equipment installation.
- Ability to perform general electrical construction and labor tasks on a busy job site.
- Strong awareness of job-site safety practices and ability to follow safety protocols consistently.
- Experience on large-scale commercial or industrial projects.

Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
