\nCoverage Model: 40 hour physician coverage, 20 hour NP/PA coverage, 37 hour scribe coverage

\nAbout Willis-Knighton Medical Center - EM: Willis-Knighton Medical Center is a tertiary care facility conveniently located west of downtown Shreveport just off interstate 20. The hospital boasts a wide range of medical services including a Cancer Center, Heart & Vascular Institute, health & fitness centers and it is home to the John C. McDonald Regional Transplant Center.
\nRESPONSIBILITIES:
\nLeadership Functions
\nLead, direct, supervise and monitor employed NP/PA
\nWill serve as a direct report to the Regional Director of NP/PA Services with collaborating responsibility with the facility Medical Director
\nSupport organizational commitment to quality and participate in organization-wide strategic planning related to quality and clinical performance
\nProvide consultative support to the hospital governing body/or designee and clinical operations staff regarding the roles and responsibilities of NP/PA (e.g., credentialing, privileging, quality oversight, risk management)
\nFacilitate communication from corporate representatives, group, and staffing operating teams to employed NP/PA clinicians
\nCollaborate with Medical Director, Regional/System Medical Officer, and Staffing Operations team to support financial management and profitability related to clinical documentation initiatives (CDI), chart recovery (EPF, down codes), RVU trend analysis, MIP data metrics, reimbursement opportunities, budgeting, and cost-savings through payroll and personnel actions
\nAssist the Regional Director and Clinical Operation team in maintaining awareness of statutory and regulatory requirements for NP/PA in respective states (e.g., Board of Nursing, Medical Board, Medical Practice Acts, Supervisory Agreements, and CPAs)
\nIdentify appropriate accreditation, certification, and recognition options pertaining to the utilization of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants (e.g., NCCPA, ANCC, ENP, ACNP, PA-C, FNP)
\nMust be familiar with clinical practice standards for NP/PA, including the scope of practice, facility medical staff rules and regulations, and practice bylaws at designated facilities
\nEnsure all corporate mandated training, including but not limited to corporate compliance, EMTALA, HIPAA, and Blood-Borne pathogens, is completed by all employed NP/PA at designated facilities
\nAssist with the development, maintenance, and distribution of state-required documentation for NP/PA practice in collaboration with SCP Corporate Compliance Department and Legal Department
\nAssist with appropriate execution and collaboration of physicians with all NP/PAs to include attestation compliance and documentation of such collaboration as required by SCP Health and facility bylaws and policies
\nExecute performance expectations, process, and quality improvement training for employed NP/PA at the designated facility (e.g., New Graduate Proctorship, SCP University, New Hire Orientation, EM/HM Boot Camp)
\nMonitor and influence Medical Director's and clinical operations team's recommendationfor interventional NP/PAprograms (MSE, LOS initiatives, Virtual Health)
\nSupport and demonstrate admitter role, rounder role, discharge role, and communicate practice model expectations
\nReview and report patient satisfaction scores specific to NP/PA and collaborates with Medical Director for improvement and communication
\nFacilitate employee policy/procedure communication and implementation via monthly Clinician Meetings with all employed NP/PA
\nSubmit monthly report to Regional Director of NP/PAServices on practice statusand quality metrics and must be completed in entirety
\nCommunicate with, and develop a working relationship with the CEO, CNO, andfacility administrators
\nCommunicate with and develop a good relationship with the ED nurse manager and nursing staff.
\nCommunicate all practice standards and procedures to employed NP/PA clinicians through memos, letters, electronic means, policy manuals, and employee handbooks
\nAdministrative Functions
\nAttendance and participation of medical staff, allied health staff, and/or hospital committees
\nAssist Medical Directors, supervisors, SCP Health/ SCP Health affiliated personnel, and/or hospital personnel in collection or analysis of quality or dashboard data
\nServe as employee liaison to assist in problem resolution with issues related to payroll, benefits, and clinical business practices
\nEnforce and promote company policies and procedures to promote a fair and equitable culture across the organization
\nAssist in the recruitment, hiring andonboarding, engagement, and retention of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants by participating throughout the job process with Medical Director and Staffing Operations team
\nFacilitate and implement orientation and onboarding for employed NP/PA clinician satisfaction the facility level
\nConduct primary supervision, annual performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement counseling of employed NP/PA in coordination with facility Medical Directors or designee of employed NP/PA at facilities
\nDemonstrate competency of personnel actions through Workday requiring Lead involvement for employed NP/PA (e.g., Time Off Request, PIP, Disciplinary Action)
\nEnsure compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations
\nLend scheduling assistance to Staffing Operations by obtaining requests from clinicians in a timely fashion, forecasting future scheduling needs, preparing holiday schedules 90 days in advance, and assisting with finding coverage for open shifts
\nEnsure all full-time and part-time NP/PAs adhere to schedule policy; to include appropriate scheduling of all exempt employees in alignment with contractual obligations and fair and equitable scheduling practices for non-exempt employees
