Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in California, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and Epic proficiency.

Details\n

• Main Operating Room (OR) unit in an acute care hospital setting
\n
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (10:30–23:00)
\n
• On-call is required: 2 primary weekday calls (22:30–06:00) and 2 secondary weekday calls (22:30–06:00) per 6-week call cycle
\n
• Weekend on-call also required: 2 primary and 2 secondary weekend calls, one day/12-hour at a time (06:30–19:00 or 18:30–06:00), Saturday and/or Sunday
\n
• Charting is done in Epic (experience required)
\n
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state — refusal to float may result in assignment termination
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active CA RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
\n
• Current BLS certification required
\n
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
\n
• Epic EMR experience required
\n
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
\n
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
\n
• Former permanent employees of the Providence health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
\n
• Scrubs are provided for OR nurses
\n
• RTO must be submitted upfront — minimal RTO is strongly preferred
\n
• Parking is available on-site for a fee (hang-tag or keycard options) or at an offsite location for a reduced rate
\n
