Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist (RVT Certified)
Location: Gastonia, NC 28054
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: 36 hours/week | 12-hour shifts (Thursday/Friday – Belmont, Saturday – Main)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Compensation:
- Local Pay: $55 – $60/hour
- Travel Pay: From $2,300/week
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist (RVT Certified) to join a dynamic imaging services team. The role involves performing a variety of ultrasound procedures across multiple care settings, including hospital imaging departments and emergency services.
Department Overview- Imaging department includes multiple procedure rooms, an emergency department unit, and dedicated imaging suites.
- Supports a large team of radiologists delivering comprehensive diagnostic imaging services.
- Most shifts involve working alongside other sonographers in a collaborative environment.
- Case assignments may vary depending on location and staffing needs.
- Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Conduct exams including general abdominal, vascular (DVT), and OB-related scans.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations and provide accurate imaging for physician interpretation.
- Support a variety of cases depending on assignment location and department needs.
- Maintain patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality throughout procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure timely and accurate results.
- Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience.
- Certification required: RDMS or RVT.
- Proficiency in:
- General abdominal imaging
- Rule-out DVT studies
- Rule-out ectopic pregnancy scans
- Experience working with ultrasound equipment such as Siemens, Philips, or equivalent systems.
- Experience with limited vascular, OB/GYN, neonatal head, breast, and prostate imaging.
- Exposure to assisting with invasive procedures (e.g., thyroid/liver biopsies, drainages).
- Strong adaptability across multiple clinical environments and patient populations.
- Shift assignments may vary depending on facility needs.
- Required attire: Scrubs or lab coat in Black, Teal, or White.
