Skilled Carpenter

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret blueprints and complete projects efficiently. This role involves constructing, installing, repairing, and finishing wood and other building materials for residential and/or commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, drywall, and other materials with precision

• Install structures and fixtures such as doors, windows, cabinets, staircases, framing, and trim

• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures

• Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently

• Ensure all work meets building codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations

• Collaborate with contractors, designers, and team members to complete projects on time

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a carpenter (typically 3–5+ years preferred)

• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints

• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment

• Solid math skills and attention to detail

• Physical stamina and strength (ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods)

• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations

• Valid driver’s license (if travel between job sites is required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Carpentry certification or trade school training

• Experience in residential, commercial, or finish carpentry (depending on role)

• OSHA certification or safety training - Removing siding from a house and replacing it.
