Job Description

Full-Time | Orlando, FL (Projects Across Florida)

Shape Florida’s most complex aquatic spaces

From municipal competition pools to resort lazy rivers, we build sophisticated water environments. Our in-house CAD/BIM team is the connective tissue between design intent and field execution—and we’re looking for a designer who thrives at that intersection.

The role at a glance

As our Aquatic Facilities CAD/BIM Designer, you’ll toggle between 2D AutoCAD shop drawings and coordinated 3D BIM models, ensuring every pipe, anchor, and equipment layout works in the real world. You’ll join weekly coordination meetings as our technical voice and collaborate daily with Project Managers and Superintendents to reflect current field conditions.

This position includes part-time, in-person collaboration in our Apopka office.

What you’ll do (a day in the life)
  • Translate redlines and field updates into precise 2D shop drawings: pipe runs and system schematics, equipment room plans, formwork, specialty radii, and anchor/embed layouts.
  • Build and maintain clash-aware 3D BIM models (BIM 360 or similar), with a focus on piping systems and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Produce and update as-built documentation as conditions evolve.
  • Represent the company in weekly BIM coordination meetings; identify and resolve conflicts with other trades.
  • Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to verify constructability and accuracy.
  • Support estimating with material takeoffs, vendor/subcontractor quote requests, and organized data packages for the Lead Estimator.
What you bring
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting and experience creating construction shop drawings.
  • Strong 3D BIM modeling background (BIM 360 or similar platforms).
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Solid grasp of construction systems and coordination workflows.
  • Clear, proactive communication and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred
  • Experience in commercial construction or mechanical/plumbing systems.
  • Background with aquatic/pool systems (highly preferred, not required).
  • Familiarity with cross-trade coordination processes.
Why you’ll love it here
  • Work on complex, large-scale commercial aquatic projects across Florida.
  • Collaborate closely with field teams and see your drawings built.
  • Influence both design coordination and preconstruction strategy.
  • Grow within a specialized construction niche.
Employment details
  • Full-time role based in Orlando, FL (projects statewide); part-time presence in our Apopka office.
  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
  • Opportunities for advancement.

If you’re a technically minded CAD/BIM professional who enjoys bridging design and construction, we’d love to hear from you.
