Location: New York, New York
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Pay Rate: $50.00 - $56.00/hour (Based on Experience)
Shift: Days
We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join a busy diagnostic imaging department. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, support radiologists during diagnostic procedures, and provide exceptional patient care while maintaining imaging quality standards.
Required Qualifications• Minimum two (2) years of Ultrasound Technologist experience.
• ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) Registration.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound procedures and patient care.
• Experience working with PACS imaging systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer applications.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care.
Responsibilities• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Prepare, position, and educate patients prior to imaging procedures.
• Operate, adjust, clean, and perform minor troubleshooting of ultrasound equipment.
• Ensure patient and staff safety by following established safety protocols.
• Capture, review, and transmit diagnostic images through PACS.
• Maintain adequate inventory of imaging supplies and equipment.
• Assist with scheduling exams, coordinating patient flow, and answering department calls.
• Provide orientation and mentorship to new ultrasound staff.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records.
• Support daily department operations as assigned.
