Job Description
The Manager, Meaningful Day Services manages and oversees the daily delivery of Ardmore's Day Services. This role facilitates strategic service delivery designed to increase, improve, and maintain employment opportunities, community participation, and inclusion for adults with disabilities through a hybrid model that includes both community-based and virtual supports.
The Manager ensures compliance with all applicable policies and regulations while providing direct supervision, coaching, and support to Community Support Specialists.
This position models Ardmore's Employment First philosophy, recognizing that all people can work and actively participate in their communities when provided the right opportunities and supports.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate day-to-day Day and Employment Services operations, including staffing, scheduling, technology, resources, curriculum, and service delivery
Coordinate participant intake, admissions, and onboarding in partnership with program leadership
Develop and maintain individualized, person-centered schedules, activities, and services that support employment and community participation outcomes
Ensure services are delivered in accordance with organizational standards, regulations, and person-centered practices
Promote self-advocacy and meaningful community inclusion for all individuals served
Staff Supervision & Development
Provide direct supervision, guidance, and performance oversight to Community Support Specialists and other direct support staff
Monitor service delivery, documentation, attendance, and compliance requirements
Conduct community-based observations to evaluate service quality and staff performance
Mentor, train, and support staff in Employment First principles, Positive Behavioral Supports, Person-Centered Thinking, and best practices in service delivery
Coordinate and facilitate staff training and professional development opportunities
Collaboration & Community Engagement
Partner with Directors, Person-Centered Planning Specialists, Coordinators, Managers, Direct Support Professionals, families, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery
Build and maintain relationships with employers, community organizations, and local resources
Represent Ardmore professionally at community events, resource fairs, conferences, and networking opportunities
Serve as a positive ambassador for Ardmore's mission and values
Documentation, Compliance & Quality Assurance
Monitor and review program documentation, including case notes, attendance records, incident reports, billing information, and outcome tracking data.Ensure compliance with Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) requirements, including reportable incident policies
Track and analyze program outcomes related to employment, community participation, quality enhancement initiatives, and individual milestones
Maintain knowledge of and ensure adherence to Ardmore policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Demonstrate professional, respectful communication with individuals served, families, coworkers, employers, and community members
Participate in required trainings and professional development activities
Perform other duties as assigned in support of Ardmore's mission and strategic goals
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Program Management, Workforce Development, Customized Employment, Vocational Rehabilitation, Communications, Sales or a related field preferred
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
- Experience with public speaking, marketing, outreach, or community engagement strongly preferred
Strong commitment to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving employment and community integration goals
Understanding of Employment First, Positive Behavioral Supports, and Person-Centered Thinking principles
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and effectively in community-based settings
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data management systems
Ability to build strong internal and external relationships and community partnerships
Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication methods preferred
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment that includes telework, community-based support, and limited office time
Qualifications
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
Daily access to reliable transportation
Ability to travel throughout the assigned service region as needed
Ability to assist with transfers and mobility support, including helping an average adult in and out of a wheelchair
Ability to pass criminal background checks and drug screening requirements
Eligibility to work in the United States and ability to provide required I-9 documentation
Ability to maintain CPR, First Aid, Medication Monitoring (if applicable), and all required certifications and trainings
Availability to work a full-time schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends as needed to support program operations
