Addison Group is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support its operations team in Newport News, VA. The Human Resources Business Partner will serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance across a variety of HR functions. This role will support day-to-day employee relations, talent initiatives, compliance efforts, performance management, and workforce planning while helping foster a positive workplace culture.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting manufacturing or operational environments and be comfortable navigating complex employee situations with professionalism, discretion, and confidence.
- Partner with department leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives and operational needs.
- Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action processes.
- Assist managers with performance management, employee development, and talent planning initiatives.
- Support recruiting efforts by partnering with hiring managers to attract and retain top talent.
- Contribute to employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and retention strategies.
- Analyze HR data and reporting metrics to identify trends and support decision-making.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and coordinate learning and development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
- Support compensation, benefits, leave administration, employee records, and other HR programs as needed.
- Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources Business Partner experience.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, production, distribution, or operational environments required.
- Strong background in employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance.
- Experience utilizing HRIS systems and HR technology platforms.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple levels of an organization.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Team size: 6 HR Business Partners
- HR department size: Approximately 15-20 employees
- Reports to Senior HR Leadership
- Position open due to internal promotion
- Target start date: Within two weeks of offer acceptance
- Standard 40-hour work week
- Occasional overtime may be required
