Job Title: Sr. Healthcare Compensation Consultant
Location: Houston, TX 77024
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $52/hour
We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Healthcare Compensation Consultant with a strong background in healthcare compensation to serve as a strategic consultant to business leaders. This role goes beyond traditional analytics by providing data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to address workforce, compensation, and retention challenges.
The ideal candidate will independently evaluate complex business problems, integrate multiple sources of workforce data, identify root causes, and develop strategic compensation solutions that support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders on workforce and compensation strategies.
- Diagnose recruiting, retention, and workforce planning challenges using advanced analytical methods.
- Analyze compensation trends, market benchmarking, internal pay equity, and workforce metrics.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, including compensation surveys, labor market data, turnover metrics, recruiting feedback, and workforce analytics.
- Develop advanced cost models to evaluate compensation programs, staffing initiatives, and workforce investments.
- Identify root causes of workforce issues and present data-driven recommendations to leadership.
- Create executive-level presentations, dashboards, and reports that communicate complex findings clearly.
- Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and operational leaders to support strategic workforce planning.
- Ensure compensation recommendations align with organizational objectives, market competitiveness, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Significant senior-level experience in compensation analysis, preferably within a healthcare organization.
- Demonstrated expertise in healthcare compensation practices, salary benchmarking, and workforce analytics.
- Strong consultative skills with the ability to influence and advise senior leadership.
- Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and cost analysis capabilities.
- Experience synthesizing complex data into actionable business recommendations.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and experience using HRIS, workforce analytics, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Workday, Power BI, Tableau, SQL) is preferred.
- Healthcare industry compensation expertise (required).
- Strategic workforce planning and organizational consulting experience.
- Advanced costing and financial modeling.
- Executive-level presentation and storytelling with data.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple complex projects.
