Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW
- Any labor required to handle, prepare, and transport all lumber from the Reman Plant.
- This is a part-time position. The schedule is subject to change. Weekly work schedules are shared in advance.
- This position is paid hourly and eligible for overtime pay.
- No travel is expected for this position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform the daily operations of various equipment such as the Bandsaw, Holtec, Ripper, KM16, Chop Saw, and Pop-Up Saw.
- Perform the daily tasks of remanufacturing wood such as stacking on and off sticks for KILN Drying, assisting in distribution functions, paper wrapping of dry material, inline manufacturing, regular packaging, stacking, grading, repairing, and proper labeling of lumber bundles.
- Work at the half-pack station in coordination with a forklift operator to half-pack lumber bundles, repackage timbers, and ensure material is safely and properly prepared for handling, storage, or shipment.
- Operate a forklift, as trained and authorized, to safely move lumber, timbers, materials, and finished products throughout the facility, including loading, unloading, staging, and supporting production or shipping needs.
- Safely operate all machines in accordance with UTD, OSHA, and specific product procedures and recommendations.
- Complete all daily paperwork necessary to operate the equipment with the ability to follow a daily work order run sheet.
- Be on time and remain in compliance with the Company handbook.
- Wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in designated areas.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid drivers license
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- May require prolonged standing, sitting, driving, and forklift vibration.
- Must be able to properly handle wood which may require standing, balancing, stooping, crouching, bending, walking, and lifting for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions; heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity; fumes, and airborne particles for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to lift/carry 40 pounds or more.
