Legal Conflicts Analyst
Location: Raleigh, NC or Wilmington, NC (Raleigh preferred)
Salary: $60,000 – $80,000

The Opportunity
A premier, growing corporate law firm with a prominent presence across the Carolinas is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Conflicts Analyst. This vital position handles risk management and compliance operations, ensuring seamless new matter intake while working within a highly collaborative and team-oriented firm culture.
Core Responsibilities
- Conflict Cleansing: Execute comprehensive conflict of interest searches for all prospective clients and new legal matters firm-wide.
- Risk Analysis: Evaluate and analyze complex database search results to identify, flag, and report potential ethical or commercial conflicts.
- Database Management: Maintain and update corporate profiles, entity hierarchies, and searched parties within the firm’s central database.
- New Matter Intake: Oversee the lifecycle of client onboarding, verifying that all ethical compliance requirements are satisfied before opening new files.
- Systems Administration: Open, edit, close, and audit client/matter records while generating routine compliance and risk reports.
- Internal Support: Serve as the subject matter expert on intake systems, troubleshooting inquiries and training new team members on conflict procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of dedicated experience functioning strictly as a Conflicts Analyst or Conflicts Specialist within a law firm setting.
- Technical Skills: Experience utilizing legal risk applications such as Intapp Open/Conflicts, Elite 3E, or Aderant is highly preferred.
- Search Mechanics: Proficient in logic-based research, including the use of Boolean Operators and specialized legal research indexes.
- Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is highly desirable.
