Cannabis Advisor (Part-Time)

Simply Pure Trenton is seeking a Part-Time Cannabis Advisor to provide exceptional customer service and help create a welcoming, educational retail experience.

As one of New Jersey's first Black-owned, social equity dispensaries, we're rooted in community, education, and inclusion. This role is ideal for someone with a strong retail, hospitality, or sales background who enjoys connecting with people and delivering great service.

This is an entry-level role. Cannabis experience is not required—we will train the right candidate.

What You'll Do

Deliver friendly, engaging, and personalized customer service

Educate customers on cannabis products and make recommendations based on their needs

Accurately process transactions using the POS system

Assist with order fulfillment, packaging, and inventory organization

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment

Follow all SOPs and compliance regulations

Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture

Salary

$17 - $21 USD per hour

Required Skills

• Minimum 21 years of age (or as required by state regulations)
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• At least 1 year of customer service, retail, or sales experience required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to deliver consistent, high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
• Basic math skills and comfort handling cash/POS systems
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Flexible availability (nights, weekends, holidays required)

Desired Skills

• Previous retail, hospitality, or customer-facing sales experience
• Interest in cannabis and willingness to learn quickly
• Experience working in a fast-paced or compliance-driven environment
