Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly technical and experienced Benefits Operations Specialist to support a complex, global benefits environment. This role will be responsible for a combination of benefits operations, vendor management, and systems administration, serving as a key liaison between employees, internal HR teams, Payroll, and external benefits administration providers.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience supporting outsourced benefits administration models, managing large-scale employee populations, and working with benefits technology platforms and integrations. This position supports approximately 2,300 U.S. employees and 2,700 international employees.
Candidates must possess both U.S. and global benefits administration experience. Individuals whose experience is limited solely to U.S. benefits administration will not be considered.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage day-to-day benefits operations and administration activities across U.S. and global programs.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for third-party benefits administration partners and vendors.
• Administer and maintain benefits systems, eligibility rules, and operational processes.
• Support benefits delivery, enrollment, eligibility, and ongoing program administration.
• Investigate and resolve complex employee benefit issues and escalations.
• Partner directly with employees, HR, Payroll, and People Operations teams to address benefits-related questions and concerns.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure accurate eligibility file feeds, payroll integrations, data transfers, reporting, and system functionality.
• Perform benefits data audits, reconciliations, and quality control reviews.
• Analyze benefits data and identify opportunities for increased efficiency, compliance, and operational accuracy.
• Support benefits process improvement initiatives and operational projects.
• Provide limited administrative support related to annual open enrollment activities as needed, although overall open enrollment oversight will be handled by the internal implementation team and vendor partners.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of benefits programs and services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years of Benefits Administration, Benefits Operations, or Benefits Delivery experience.
• Strong background working with outsourced benefits administration providers.
• Demonstrated experience supporting both U.S. and global benefits programs.
• Hands-on experience with:
o Workday Benefits Administration Module (Required)
o ADP GlobalView (Required)
o WTW BenefitConnect (Preferred)
• Extensive experience with:
o Eligibility file feeds
o Payroll integrations
o Benefits data reconciliation
o Vendor management
o Benefits systems administration
• Strong understanding of benefits operations, delivery, and administration processes.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills, including Google Sheets and complex data analysis.
• Comfortable working in Slack and highly collaborative remote environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience supporting high-growth technology organizations preferred.
• Experience with large employee populations in multi-country environments preferred.
• Strong systems aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot benefits administration issues and integrations preferred.
• Experience partnering closely with HRIS and Payroll teams preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• May be tasked with lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 25 lbs., if able to do so.
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for moderate periods of time.
• Must be able to bend at the knees and waist frequently
• Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and a computer mouse and keyboard.
