Bilingual Community Outreach Representative (English/Spanish)
Onsite in Hesperia, CA
$20.00 per hour
Full Time | Temporary, 4 Month Assignment
Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST
Are you passionate about helping others navigate important healthcare services? Do you enjoy working directly with the community and making a meaningful impact? We are seeking a bilingual English/Spanish Community Outreach Representative to educate, assist, and support individuals with their healthcare enrollment options throughout the Hesperia and Victorville area.
If you have outstanding customer service skills, enjoy public interaction, and are comfortable presenting information to individuals and groups, we encourage you to apply.
Please Note: To support long-term success in this role, local candidates residing in the Hesperia or Victorville area are strongly preferred.
What You'll Do
As a Community Outreach Representative, you will serve as a trusted resource for community members by providing education, enrollment assistance, and support for healthcare programs.
Responsibilities include:
* Conduct community outreach through individual appointments and group presentations
* Educate beneficiaries on available managed care plan options
* Guide individuals through enrollment and disenrollment processes
* Assist with medical exemption and waiver inquiries
* Build positive relationships with county offices, community organizations, and program partners
* Participate in community events, health fairs, and educational outreach activities
* Accurately document interactions within the CRM system
* Complete data entry and enrollment transactions with a high degree of accuracy
* Maintain quality, productivity, and compliance standards
* Assist with training and mentoring new team members as needed
* Travel throughout the assigned service area to support outreach activities
What We're Looking For
* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
* Fluent in both English and Spanish, including reading, writing, and speaking
* Valid California driver's license with proof of insurance
* Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the county
* Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
* Ability to type at least 20 words per minute
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Comfortable presenting information to individuals and groups
Preferred Qualifications
* Six months or more of customer service, human services, or community outreach experience
* Experience working with diverse or underserved populations
* Public speaking, education, training, marketing, or community engagement experience
* Experience assisting individuals with public benefit or healthcare programs
Physical Requirements
* Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods
* Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Work Environment
This position is primarily office based with regular travel throughout the community to conduct outreach, presentations, and enrollment activities.
