Service Manager – Dallas, TX
We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented Service Manager to lead our Dallas operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in diesel trucks, fleet maintenance, heavy-duty equipment, or commercial vehicle service and possess the leadership, operational, and financial management skills necessary to drive performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Position Summary
The Service Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the service department. This role oversees technician productivity, workflow management, customer relationships, financial results, and business development efforts. The successful candidate will foster a high-performing team culture, ensure operational excellence, and achieve departmental goals related to revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the diesel truck, fleet maintenance, heavy equipment, transportation, or commercial vehicle service industry.
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience leading technicians, service teams, or service operations.
- Demonstrated success managing budgets, financial performance, and key operational metrics (KPIs).
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, diagnostics, repairs, and fleet operations.
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dealership or OEM service environment, including brands such as Freightliner, International, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Volvo, Mack, Cummins, or similar.
- Strong understanding of service department profitability, labor efficiency, and P&L management.
- Established industry relationships and a network of fleet or commercial customers.
- Experience driving business growth through customer retention, account development, and service excellence.
