Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide one-on-one private duty nursing care for a pediatric patient recovering from multiple traumatic injuries in the home setting. The ideal candidate is attentive, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality, family-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Monitor vital signs, pain, respiratory status, and neurological status.
• Observe for signs of bleeding while the patient is taking anticoagulant medication.
• Assess circulation, sensation, and movement of the affected extremities.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with mobility while maintaining non-weight-bearing precautions as ordered.
• Reinforce fall and safety precautions.
• Monitor for changes in the patient's condition and promptly report concerns to the physician and case manager.
• Communicate effectively with caregivers and the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Current California LVN license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Pediatric and/or home health experience preferred.
• Excellent assessment and communication skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and able to work independently.
