About the Opportunity
This isn't a job at a single-location operator. You'd be joining one of the fastest-growing multi-brand QSR franchise organizations in the Midwest, a privately held group that has scaled from 30 to 100+ locations in under a year and isn't slowing down. The principal has been in this industry since 1998 and built this portfolio through aggressive acquisition, full store remodels, and a deep commitment to the communities these restaurants serve. We are hiring General Managers at three locations in the Detroit metro and Toledo markets. These are high-volume, drive-thru-forward operations with strong daily traffic. You'll own your store completely.
What You'll Own
You run the full operation. That means opening and closing, food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and safety standards, every single day. You'll drive top-line sales and hit revenue, transaction, and profitability targets across dine-in, drive-thru, and delivery channels. You'll manage a complete P&L including labor, cost of goods, food waste, and controllable expenses.
Building your team is a core part of the job. You'll recruit, hire, train, schedule, and develop shift leaders and crew members, and you'll be building toward a bench that can grow with the organization. This group promotes from within and has the unit count to back that up.
Additional responsibilities include inventory management, vendor coordination, cash handling, POS accuracy, drive-thru speed-of-service metrics, third-party delivery performance, and local marketing execution for limited-time offers and new product rollouts.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of QSR or fast food management experience
- 2+ years as a General Manager in a quick-service restaurant
- Demonstrated experience managing a location with $1M+ in annual sales volume
- 2+ years of drive-thru management experience
- Full P&L ownership and accountability
- Currently working as a General Manager in a restaurant setting
- Reasonable job stability (no more than 3 jobs in 6 years or 4 jobs in 8-10 years)
- Food safety certification (ServSafe) or ability to obtain within onboarding period
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree a plus
Physical Requirements
This is an active kitchen leadership role. You'll be on your feet for extended shifts, working near hot cooking equipment and fryers, and lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds regularly.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $40,000 - $50,000, commensurate with experience
- Performance-based bonus program up to $10,000 annually
