Automotive Business Development Representative (BDR)

Position: Business Development Representative (BDR)
Department: Business Development Center (BDC) / Internet Sales
Reports To: BDC Managers and Internet Director

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused Business Development Representative to join our growing automotive team. As a BDR, you'll be the first point of contact for customers interested in purchasing a vehicle or servicing their current one. Your primary responsibility is to build relationships, generate appointments, and create an exceptional customer experience that leads to increased showroom traffic and vehicle sales.

Responsibilities


  • Respond to internet leads, phone calls, text messages, and online inquiries promptly.

  • Build rapport with customers and identify their vehicle needs.

  • Schedule qualified sales and service appointments.

  • Follow up with unsold customers through phone, text, email, and CRM campaigns.

  • Maintain accurate customer records within the CRM.

  • Meet daily activity goals for calls, texts, emails, and conversations.

  • Confirm upcoming appointments to maximize show rates.

  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless customer experience.

  • Follow dealership processes and communication standards.

  • Participate in ongoing training and coaching sessions.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Automotive BDC or dealership experience

  • Call center or customer service experience

  • CRM experience (DealerSocket, VinSolutions, Elead, DriveCentric, etc.)

  • Sales experience

No automotive experience? No problem. We provide paid training for the right candidate.
