SAW OPERATOR

Job Duties:

• Sets up and cuts raw materials per shop orders for all departments.
• May move material to the machine shop for the next operation.
• Loads and Unloads trucks
• Verifies form, fit and function of incoming material and matches the packing slip to the order.
• Performs ad hoc steel cuts for welders.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Reports defective tools and equipment
• Complies with all safety rules and regulations

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum Work Experience:

• Two years of experience operating a saw in an industrial environment
• One year of forklift operation
• One year of overhead crane experience

Minimum Skill Requirements:

• Proven ability to read a tape measure
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to use hand measuring tools including micrometer and calipers
• Ability to use a PC for time collection
• ERP system experience is a plus

Physical Requirements:

Frequently required to stand, walk, and stoop; bend, kneel or crouch; talk and hear. Regularly required to lift or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to see with corrected vision to nearly 20/20 or better and have the ability to differentiate colors.
