Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
The Assembler plays a key role in building high-quality products by assembling components, operating production machinery, and supporting daily manufacturing activities. This position works in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment and requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow standardized work instructions, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. The Assembler uses hand and power tools, reads measuring devices such as tape measures, and supports production processes to consistently meet output and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and other components according to standardized work instructions and production specifications.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently to support daily production goals.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and torque tools to install, secure, and adjust parts and assemblies.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings to perform accurate mechanical assembly.
- Use measuring tools, including tape measures and other gauges, to verify dimensions and ensure assemblies meet required tolerances.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of assembly and production issues and communicate findings to the appropriate personnel.
- Work on an assembly line and support production flow to meet daily output and quality targets.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment at all times.
- Conduct basic testing using test equipment as directed to confirm proper function of assembled components.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment with care.
- Use basic computer systems as required for work instructions, reporting, or production tracking.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve issues and continuously improve production processes.
Essential Skills
- Proven ability to assemble components in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience using hand tools, including wrenches, screwdrivers, and similar tools for mechanical assembly.
- Experience using power tools and torque tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure and other measuring tools accurately.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, schematics, and standardized work instructions.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand how parts fit and function together.
- Basic troubleshooting skills in a production or assembly setting.
- Ability to operate machinery and equipment used in assembly and production processes.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend work instructions and safety information.
- Basic computer usage skills to access and follow digital work instructions or production systems.
- AWS D1.1 weld certification.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Vocational training in manufacturing, welding, mechanical, or related technical fields is desired.
- Experience working on an assembly line in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
- Familiarity with using test equipment to verify product performance.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a production team.
- Willingness to work overtime before the scheduled shift and on some Saturdays as needed.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing and production setting that is fast-paced and performance-driven. The facility is not climate-controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. Assemblers regularly work with hand tools, power tools, torque tools, measuring tools, test equipment, and production machinery. The standard schedule is 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with overtime expected before the regular shift and on some Saturdays as needed to meet production demands. The dress code includes plain-colored t-shirts (with blue or gray preferred), jeans, and steel-toe boots, and employees must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required for the tasks they perform.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.30 - $20.30/hr.
