Job Title: General Laborer / Production Worker
Job Description
This entry-level General Laborer / Production Worker role plays a key part in the production process, supporting the safe and efficient manufacture of high-quality industrial products. You will work with production equipment, monitor and measure material levels in tanks, handle and palletize bagged product, and assist with loading trailers. This position involves physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs and walking throughout the facility, and offers hands-on training for motivated individuals who are eager to learn.
Responsibilities
- Support daily production operations by working with machines and equipment used to process and package industrial products.
- Measure tank levels regularly to ensure they do not overfill, walking up and down tank levels multiple times per shift.
- Accurately document tank measurements and other production data as required.
- Operate levers and controls to fill trailers safely and efficiently.
- Place bags on machines, monitor the bagging process, and push buttons or controls to keep production running smoothly.
- Palletize bags of finished product and move them as needed within the facility.
- Assist with screening, sizing, and bagging processed materials used in applications such as roofing and blasting.
- Perform manual tasks including shoveling and general cleanup to maintain a safe and organized work area.
- Handle occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs while primarily performing walking and monitoring tasks.
- Follow all safety procedures, participate in daily safety meetings, and use required personal protective equipment.
- Work collaboratively with the production team to maintain a positive, safety-conscious, and productive environment.
- Learn to operate production equipment such as bagging machines, hoppers, dryers, and crushers under supervision.
- Adhere to established quality standards to ensure products meet required specifications.
Essential Skills
- At least 6 months of general labor experience.
- At least 2 months of agricultural experience.
- At least 6 months of farming experience.
- At least 6 months of machine operator or production experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly as needed.
- Ability to perform physically active work, including walking up and down tank levels multiple times per shift.
- Comfort working in an industrial environment with indoor and outdoor exposure.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to work with machines and tools.
- Ability to use basic measurement tools such as tape measures to check levels and dimensions.
- Strong focus on safety and willingness to participate in daily safety meetings.
- Level-headed, reliable, and team-oriented approach to work.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and accurately document measurements and production data.
- Willingness to work Monday through Friday from 3:30 p.m. to midnight.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with general production or manufacturing environments.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools in a work setting.
- Experience in carpentry, concrete, construction, or similar manual trades.
- Mechanical inclination and interest in learning how production equipment operates.
- Experience with loading materials and working around rail cars or bulk material handling is helpful.
- Comfort working with non-climate-controlled equipment such as hoppers, dryers, crushers, and bagging machines.
- Openness to training and learning new skills in a structured production environment.
- Ability to work safely around industrial materials that are non-carcinogenic and safe when handled properly.

You will wear jeans and a T-shirt (darker colors recommended due to dust and dirt), along with steel-toed boots or shoes. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.98 - $22.98/hr.
