Serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related matters. Administer and process bi-weekly payroll, manage electronic time records, reconcile payroll with ledgers and operating budgets, and generate required reports. Ensure accurate and timely filing of payroll taxes and compliance with all reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
- Administer and execute a full-cycle, in-house, multi-state bi-weekly payroll process.
- Handle complex payroll calculations including commissions, bonuses, incentives, awards, reimbursements, and garnishments.
- Implement changes related to payroll, tax, wage, hour, and benefit time.
- Maintain all payroll-related records in accordance with retention policies.
- Oversee the integrity and maintenance of electronic timesheet systems.
- Accurately input and verify employee and management data such as new hires, terminations, status changes, and reporting structures.
- Manage and monitor bi-directional interface export files to ensure timely and accurate data exchange with internal systems and partners.
- Prepare and submit quarterly reports including the U.S. Department of Labor Multiple Worksite Report and United Way reporting, adhering to all deadlines.
- Conduct quarterly reviews of payroll wage and tax registers.
- Prepare and file tax documentation for secondary tax entities.
- Ensure accuracy of quarterly and annual federal and state tax deposits.
- Reconcile and distribute annual W-2 forms.
- Address employee and management inquiries regarding payroll and timesheet entries promptly and professionally.
- Fulfill internal and external requests for payroll documentation as needed.
- Support internal teams with inquiries related to general ledger entries and compensation budgets.
- Stay current on payroll systems, wage and tax law changes, and industry trends.
- Recommend and implement process improvements and policy updates as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Participate in required training, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training.
- Contribute to cross-functional teams, projects, and strategic initiatives.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Proficiency in ADP and multi-state payroll processing.
- Experience in payroll tax and garnishments.
- At least 3 years of payroll experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. The company is expanding rapidly in the Capital Region of NY (Albany) and is in the process of opening more branches.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
