The Construction General Laborer supports daily construction operations by safely transporting people, parts, and tools as needed across the job site. This role contributes to efficient project progress by assisting with general labor tasks and operating a scissor lift in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Responsibilities
- Transport people, parts, tools, and materials to designated areas on the job site in a safe and timely manner.
- Support construction teams with general labor tasks such as site cleanup, material handling, and basic setup or breakdown of work areas.
- Operate a scissor lift safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures and safety guidelines.
- Assist with moving, staging, and organizing tools and equipment to ensure crews have what they need to work efficiently.
- Follow all site safety rules, procedures, and regulations while maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members to understand daily priorities and changing needs on the job site.
- Report any safety concerns, equipment issues, or hazards promptly to the appropriate personnel.
- Previous construction experience with a solid understanding of basic construction practices.
- Familiarity with common construction tools and equipment.
- Valid scissor lift experience and current scissor lift certification.
- Ability to work safely in both indoor and outdoor construction environments.
- Capability to perform physical labor, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable communication skills to coordinate tasks and respond to changing site needs.
- Strong awareness of safety practices and willingness to follow all safety protocols.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality on prior construction or labor assignments.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew and follow direction from site leadership.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to different duties as project needs evolve.

Work Environment

The position involves frequent movement around the site, working at heights when using a scissor lift, and performing physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
