Job Description
Our client, a growing private holding company, is looking for an experienced Human Resources Leader to oversee people operations. The role is the main HR professional for the company, reporting into the COO.
This position combines HR leadership with hands-on support across Talent Acquisition, Hiring, Employee Engagement, Performance Management, Compliance, and Rewards Programs. The ideal candidate brings strong business partnership skills, sound judgment, and the ability to build effective HR practices that support both employees and leadership.
The organization is an active and diverse organization with varying levels of professionals. The role will certainly offer great variety in the core HR functions. Payroll and benefits fall outside of this role, being owned by Finance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, including partnering with hiring managers, sourcing candidates, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and supporting hiring decisions
- Manage onboarding processes to ensure a strong new hire experience
- Partner with leadership on employee engagement, retention, recognition, development, and organizational design initiatives
- Serve as a trusted resource on HR policies, employee relations matters, leaves of absence, compensation, and performance management
- Coach a diverse set of managers on employee development, career pathing, team effectiveness, and workplace concerns
- Oversee performance review processes and talent management systems
- Conduct exit interviews, monitor turnover trends, and recommend retention strategies
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on benefits administration, renewals, and open enrollment communication. Of note: Payroll and Benefits is house within Finance formally.
- Maintain and update employee policies, procedures, and records to support compliance with employment laws and company standards
- Oversee HR systems and ensure the integrity of employee data and reporting
- Partner with external consultants and legal counsel on complex employee relations or compliance matters as needed
