A large manufacturer in Anderson, IN is seeking Warehouse Pickers for both morning and night shifts. This role involves learning to work throughout the distribution center, including picking, loading, and receiving duties. Initially, the position will focus solely on picking responsibilities, with training provided for other areas. Note that this is an open-ended contract position, with potential for permanent roles for outstanding employees.
Responsibilities
- Accurately pick products from designated locations based on order specifications.
- Safely operate an electric pallet jack to transport products throughout the warehouse.
- Use scanning equipment to ensure correct items are picked and track inventory.
- Double-check picked items against order lists to ensure accuracy.
- Place picked items onto pallets in a secure and organized manner.
- Pull pallets off the conveyor and scan them using provided equipment.
- Utilize the SAP system to determine the appropriate door for each pallet.
- Transport pallets to the designated door using a sit-down forklift.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during the loading process.
- Use the SAP system to identify the correct door for incoming shipments.
- Unload shipments from trucks and other delivery vehicles.
- Stage the area for the next order by ensuring tags and labels are correct and putting items away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures during the receiving process.
- Experience with RF scanners.
- Proficiency in order picking and warehouse packing.
- Experience operating electric pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts.
- Material handling and inventory management skills.
- Willingness to operate electric pallet jack and learn sit-down forklift operation.
- Ability to work in cold temperatures and stay self-motivated.
- Experience with RF scanners and picking in a warehouse environment is beneficial.

Work Environment
The warehouse maintains a temperature of 45 degrees, with cold weather gear provided, including bibs and gloves. The dress code requires jeans and steel-toed or composite-toed shoes. Shift hours include a morning shift from 6 AM to 2 PM for training, transitioning to a 6 AM to 6 PM schedule, and a night shift from 6 PM to 2 AM for training, moving to a 6 PM to 6 AM schedule. Employees receive two 20-minute paid breaks and one 30-minute unpaid break.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
