DAY & NIGHT SHIFT
$21/hr with WEEKLY pay!
Job Description
This role involves operating material-handling equipment, packaging silica products, and performing general labor tasks in a dynamic industrial environment. You will work with bagging and weighing systems, handle heavy materials, and support safe and efficient production operations across varying shifts.
Responsibilities
- Attach large bags to chutes to collect silica material, operating a lever to control the flow so the volume and weight match the order requirements.
- Monitor bag weight using a scale and adjust material flow to ensure accurate and consistent filling.
- Lift and move 50 lb bags from a waist-high table and stack them neatly on pallets, with bags coming out approximately every 30 seconds.
- Seal filled bags securely and scan labels onto each bag to ensure correct identification and tracking.
- Perform general cleanup of workstations and surrounding areas to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- After approximately one month and with appropriate training, operate forklifts to move materials and finished products within the facility, as needed.
- After training and as requested, drive trucks into and within the facility grounds (not on public roads) to support material handling and logistics.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of respirators and personal protective equipment, and adhere to environmental and operational guidelines.
- Work effectively in hot and cold conditions, maintaining productivity and attention to detail throughout the shift.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals, support continuous workflow, and assist in other general labor tasks as required.
Essential Skills
- Ability to consistently lift and handle 50 lb bags throughout the shift.
- Capability to obtain and maintain proper respirator fit and wear required respiratory protection as needed.
- Experience or strong comfort with general labor tasks, including packing, packaging, loading, and unloading materials.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in hot and cold environments.
- Basic familiarity with hand tools used in an industrial or construction setting.
- Willingness and ability to work on any shift, including extended hours and workweeks of 5, 6, or 7 days as required.
- Attention to detail when weighing, sealing, and labeling bags to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive lifting, stacking, and material-handling tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Forklift experience or willingness to learn forklift operation through on-the-job training.
- Experience in packaging, picking, and material handling in industrial, construction, oil and gas, or similar environments.
- Comfort working around industrial equipment and trucks in a plant setting.
- Reliability and strong work ethic, with the ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety and environmental standards.
- Team-oriented mindset, with the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and support shared production goals.

Work Environment
This position is based in an industrial plant setting with a small team of approximately 9 to 15 employees, offering a tight-knit atmosphere. You will work around silica material, bagging equipment, scales, forklifts, and trucks used within the facility. The role requires working in both hot and cold conditions, and you will perform repetitive lifting and material-handling tasks throughout the shift. The primary shift runs from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks available, and the average workweek may range from 5 to 7 days. You must be open to any shift as scheduling can vary based on operational needs. The environment is safety-focused, with required use of respirators and other protective equipment, and strong attention to cleanliness and organization at workstations.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
