American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a general, abdominal/OB-GYN, and vascular imaging role requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and ARDMS certification.
Details- Full-time, 40-hour work week
- Performs general, abdominal/OB-GYN, and vascular ultrasound studies
- Schedule flexibility required, including willingness to cover other shifts as needed
- 13-week contract
- Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program
- Active BLS required
- ARDMS certification in AB, OB-GYN (RDMS), and RVT required
- Active state license if applicable
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and handle awkward loads up to 100+ lbs as needed
- Must be able to stand 7–8 hours and walk 6–7 hours per workday
- Proficiency with PACS systems required
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
- Perform high-quality general, abdominal/OB-GYN, and vascular ultrasound exams in accordance with facility protocols
- Set up and assist radiologist during procedures
- Utilize EMR systems to generate, complete, and manage exam orders
- Perform, record, and analyze QC data to maintain accuracy and precision
- Responsible for reporting equipment malfunctions to service personnel and supervisors
- Assist with patient transport as needed
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to improve patient and staff experiences
- Maintain clinical competency through in-house education, new protocol training, and equipment familiarization
