Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and Epic proficiency.

• Works in a 10-bed Medical ICU (MICU) at a 426-bed short-term acute care hospital that is part of a large health system
\n
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
\n
• Required to work every other weekend
\n
• Floating required as needed
\n
• Charts using Epic (experience required)
\n
• Free parking available on-site
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active RN license — Connecticut (CT) or Compact license required
\n
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
\n
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
\n
• Epic EMR experience required
\n
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates and placement
\n
• Level II Trauma Center experience required
\n
• Nurses with any prior disciplinary actions on their RN license are not eligible for consideration
\n
• 1 professional reference required for consideration
\n

• 13-week contract

• Flu vaccine is required — declinations are not accepted
\n
• COVID vaccine with booster required; religious or medical exemptions may be considered

• Former permanent staff of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler

• Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved during the assignment

• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or other emergency response activities as needed
