Responsibilities
- Meet with patients for the first time in their speech journey, answering introductory questions
- Make evaluations and create treatment plans customized for that patient, working with them to set short and long-term goals for their speech and wellness
- Assist in the implementation of the treatment plan, adjusting as needed to ensure successful outcomes
- Maintaining excellent records of patient needs, care, and outcomes
- Work closely with the family of the patients and the patients themselves to ensure they have the knowledge and tools they need for success
- Active state license for practicing speech therapy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong charting and documentation skills
- Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office suite
