We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Epic Applications Analyst to spearhead the design, build, testing, and continuous optimization of our Epic OpTime and Anesthesia modules. Duties & ResponsibilitiesSystem Build, Configuration & TestingEpic Module Mastery: Execute the technical design, configuration, build, testing, and maintenance of Epic OpTime and Anesthesia modules, ensuring deep alignment with clinical requirements.
Third-Party Integration: Oversee and troubleshoot critical third-party perioperative integrations and vendor software systems, including platforms such as SPM and TrackCore.
Change Management: Implement system changes in strict accordance with the IT Change Management Process, including creating robust test plans, documenting outcomes, and obtaining necessary leadership approvals.
Requirement Gathering: Collaborate directly with surgical and anesthesia end-users to gather, interpret, and translate complex operational workflows into optimal technical solutions.
IT Rounding & Liaison: Facilitate regular IT rounding meetings within the surgical service line to manage ticket prioritization, deliver project updates, and act as a primary liaison for complex vendor or enterprise tech support.
Onsite Training & Support: Provide dedicated, high-touch daily and go-live support, develop accurate workflow documentation, and conduct user training across multiple operating room locations.
Workflow Optimization: Proactively monitor system utilization and operational data to identify bottlenecks, proposing strategic recommendations for system efficiency.
Reporting & Analytics: Design and generate custom data reports utilizing Epic's internal report-writing tools to support departmental leadership.
Business Continuity: Participate actively in developing policies and procedures regarding clinical security, system downtime procedures, backup operations, and disaster recovery.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience Baseline: Minimum of three (3) years of successful clinical application analyst or related systems experience.
Epic Expertise: Active Epic Certification in OpTime is required.
Core Competencies: Proven experience with application testing methodologies, third-party medical device/software integrations, and surgical or anesthesia clinical workflows.
Mobility & Service: Excellent project management skills with the ability to travel between local OR locations to provide comprehensive onsite support.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Nursing, or a related field preferred.
Additional Credentials: Epic Anesthesia certification is highly preferred.
Vendor Management: Strong background in managing external vendor relationships, coordinating hardware/software installations, and directing device integration testing.
Work Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire Permanent Position
Work Setting: On-site corporate and clinical environment, with required local travel to support all integrated operating room locations.
Schedule: Consistent daytime hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Hourly Wage Range: $46.66 - $69.99 per hour (Dependent upon experience and qualifications).
