Full Time Nanny

• Full-time Nanny required for a lower Manhattan family with four young children (ages 6 and under). Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for providing loving care to the children (including meals), tidying, cleaning and children related laundry. To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 10-15 years of experience caring for multiple children, have excellent attention to detail and be a discreet and professional caregiver. This is a fast-paced and demanding role with high expectations; proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and having a team oriented mindset while remaining calm and collected is essential in this role. Adhering to and helping to facilitate planned schedules, school drop offs, pick ups and participating in classes are expected. You will be partnering alongside other caregivers, house staff members, and parents and will never have all 4 children solo (you should be comfortable with 3 children at a time). The family values someone who is extremely motivated, detail-oriented, warm and upbeat, enjoys being active, and takes initiative with the children and around the house. This is a live-out position, with the flexibility, interest and ability to travel domestically and internationally as well as assist with occasional overnights as needed.

  Location: Lower Manhattan, NYC

  Start date: ASAP

  Days/times: Work hours will generally land between 7am-6/7pm. Family open to guaranteeing between 40 - 48 hours depending on preferred work schedule (Monday through Thursday)

  Flexibility/interest for occasional overnights and travel would be ideal but not mandatory (there are other nannies in place to step in). The right personality fit is critical to this role and all interested candidates are encouraged to apply!

  Conditions: $45 per hour* (paid as a W2 employee) plus unlimited monthly Metrocard, public holidays, sick/personal days and two weeks paid leave per year. Family open to offsetting health insurance with a healthcare stipend for the ideal candidate.

  For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:

  • Authorization to work in the US
  • A minimum of 10 years experience as a full-time nanny working in private homes
  • A well-suited demeanor for working with children pre-school and school aged children
  • A schedule with flexibility for evening coverage (work events/date nights), interest to travel with family domestically, internationally (and stay overnights/late as needed).
  • Experience with educational milestones (teaching background would be ideal)
  • Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence.
  • Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
  • Readiness to help with light housekeeping and all tasks related to childcare (meal prep, cooking, organizing, laundry, etc.).
  • Comfortable working in a partnership/alongside with other caregivers and Mother in the home - never/rarely responsible for all 4 children solo unless an emergency etc.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and discretion at all times, reflecting the high standards and values prioritized by the family
  • Fluency in both oral and written English
