• Position: Endoscopy Technician (Endo Tech)
• Location: Arcata
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Shift: Day Shift
• Schedule: 5x8
• Experience Required: 2 Years
• Weekly Pay: $1500 to $1680

Responsibilities

• Prepare endoscopy procedure rooms with the necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Assist physicians and registered nurses during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
• Clean, disinfect, and reprocess endoscopes and related equipment according to established guidelines
• Ensure all equipment is functioning properly before and after procedures
• Prepare and position patients for procedures while maintaining comfort and privacy
• Assist with specimen collection, labeling, and transport
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile procedural environment
• Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed
• Document equipment reprocessing and procedural support activities accurately
• Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure efficient workflow

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an Endoscopy Technician or Surgical Technology program preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Endoscopy Technician experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• Knowledge of endoscope reprocessing, sterilization, and infection control standards
• Familiarity with GI procedures such as colonoscopy and upper endoscopy (EGD)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced procedural setting
