Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations according to physician orders and department protocols
• Prepare and position patients safely and comfortably for MRI procedures
• Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications before imaging
• Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions
• Operate MRI equipment and optimize imaging parameters to obtain diagnostic-quality images
• Review images for quality, accuracy, and completeness before submission for interpretation
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
• Educate patients about MRI procedures and address questions or concerns
• Ensure compliance with MRI safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and quality assurance guidelines
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance issues promptly

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program
• Active Georgia Radiologic Technologist License if required by state regulations
• Current ARRT Certification in Radiography (R) required
• ARRT Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent MRI Technologist experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• Experience with contrast-enhanced MRI procedures preferred
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and imaging protocols
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic excellence
