Operating room surgical technician is an integral member of the multidisciplinary surgical team. The surgical technician acts as a scrub person, prepares and handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during a surgical procedure. He/She has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon.
