Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform plumbing and refrigeration repairs, including ammonia refrigeration systems used in commercial or industrial settings.
- Conduct field service visits to client sites for routine maintenance or urgent repairs, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to assess system performance and perform necessary repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports documenting work performed for compliance and future reference.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems and support other mechanical or appliance repair needs as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction-related roles or as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience reading schematics and understanding HVAC design principles.
- Hands-on experience with refrigeration, plumbing, ammonia refrigeration, boiler operation, and appliance repair.
- Familiarity with field service procedures including troubleshooting HVAC/R equipment in various environments.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform welding or equipment repair tasks confidently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver record preferred for travel between job sites.
- Knowledge of property maintenance practices related to air conditioning systems and mechanical components.
