Assistant Office Manager - Troup Hwy - Tyler TX

Altra Federal Credit Union is seeking a motivated and community-focused Assistant Office Manager to help lead the operations at our Troup Hwy office in Tyler TX. This role is ideal for a dynamic professional who thrives in a retail environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional member service. As the Assistant Office Manager, you will work directly with the Office Manager to manage daily branch operations, support and develop staff, and ensure a welcoming, efficient experience for every member who walks through our doors. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Member Service Representatives (Teller)
  • Deliver excellent member service by actively listening and addressing needs with a member-first mindset
  • Follow all security procedures and maintain confidentiality of member and employee information
  • Stay compliant with regulations (BSA, OFAC, etc.) and complete required training
  • Represent the credit union through community involvement and events
  • Exercise sound judgment while applying policies and procedures
  • Oversee daily teller operations, including staff performance, scheduling, cash management, and reporting
  • Coach, develop, and support teller staff while driving relationship-building and cross-selling
  • Assist with branch operations, maintenance coordination, and daily workflows
  • Support hiring, training, and development of office staff
  • Partner with Office Manager on budgets, goals, and performance tracking
  • Ensure proper opening/closing procedures and provide weekend coverage as needed
  • Process loans and assist with member transactions
Qualifications
  • One year to three years of similar or related experience required
  • Supervisory experience is preferred
  • Broad knowledge of general professional or specialized technical field such as finance, accounting, marketing or a related business field equivalent to two years of college or an Associate's Degree
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • A collaborative mindset with a passion for coaching and developing others
  • Interest in community involvement and relationship-building
Availability
  • This position is 40-hours a week, Monday through Friday.
  • Typical hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There may be some opening and closing shifts on a rotational basis required.
  • Candidates should be able to accommodate varying schedules within these timeframes to meet business needs.
Pay & Benefits
  • Competitive starting hourly pay of $28.00+, based on previous experience
  • When bilingual in Spanish or Hmong, receive a $1.00 per hour pay premium after completing and passing a language exam.
