Job Description
Pride Health is hiring a Medical Lab Scientist to support our client’s medical facility in Jacksonville, FL 32204. This is a 3-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Title: Medical Lab Scientist
Location: Jacksonville, FL 32204
Duration: 3 Months
Pay rate: $35 -$40
Shift Hours: Mon- Thu 7Pm- 5Am
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate specimen integrity and determine acceptability for testing based on established laboratory criteria
Perform routine and complex laboratory testing in accordance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure optimal performance
Analyze test results and exercise sound technical judgment for accurate interpretation and problem-solving
Prepare, validate, and assess reagents, calibrators, and quality control materials
Ensure accurate, reliable, and timely reporting of patient test results
Conduct and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
Monitor inventory levels and replenish laboratory supplies as needed
Support specimen processing and workflow efficiency within the lab
Maintain compliance with safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Certifications:
ASCP OR AMT
Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Experience in Blood Bank
